20 years of journey - From student visa to permanent resident
With God’s grace, I have finally made it. I first arrived in Australia on 25 November 2006 at the age of 19. Today, 25 July 2026, at exactly 12:42 pm, I received the long-awaited golden email confirming my Australian permanent residency. After almost 20 years, this moment feels very emotional and hard to put into words. My journey from an international student to becoming a permanent resident was filled with struggles, refusals, setbacks and many failures. Like many others working hard for their PR, there were times when the journey felt impossible. However, I kept moving forward and never gave up.
