Purpose
The Pacific Engagement Visa (PEV) ballot gives eligible citizens of Pacific island countries and Timor-Leste equal access to apply for the Pacific Engagement visa (subclass 192).
The ballot randomly selects participants regardless of skill level, occupation or gender.
Eligibility and Selection
You must:
- Be an eligible citizen of a participating Pacific island country or Timor-Leste.
- Register in the PEV ballot while it is open.
- Be randomly selected and receive a Notification of Selection letter before applying.
Each participating country has a separate ballot.
Random selection does not grant the visa. It allows selected participants to apply.

The 2026–27 ballot:
- Opened 1 July 2026
- Closed 29 July 2026
- Will have random selections after closure

How to Register and Apply
- Check whether your country’s ballot is open.
- Register through ImmiAccount during the open period.
- Wait for the Department’s random selection process.
- If selected, use the link in your Notification of Selection letter to apply for the visa.
- Submit the visa application by the invitation expiry date in the letter.
