Purpose

The Pacific Engagement Visa (PEV) Treaty stream provides eligible people from Tuvalu access to the Pacific Engagement visa (subclass 192).

The pre-application ballot is designed to provide equal access regardless of:

• Skill level
• Occupation
• Gender

Australia will allocate up to 280 Treaty stream places to Tuvalu nationals each year. This includes partners and dependent children.

Eligibility

To apply for the visa, you must:

1. Be eligible to register in the Treaty stream ballot.
2. Register while the ballot is open.
3. Be randomly selected.
4. Receive a Notification of Selection letter.
5. Apply by the invitation expiry date in that letter.

Ballot status and timing

The Treaty stream (Tuvalu) ballot closed on 1 June 2026.

Random selections for the 2026–27 program year will occur from 9 June 2026.
