Purpose
This visa allows eligible Global Impact Work Visa holders to live permanently in New Zealand.
Eligibility
You must:
- Hold a valid Global Impact Work Visa and have held it for at least 30 months.
- Be in good health.
- Be of good character.
- Have continuing support from the Edmund Hillary Fellowship.
- Be a current Edmund Hillary Fellowship member.
- Provide evidence that the Fellowship supports your residence application.

Required Evidence
Identity
Provide:
- Two acceptable head-and-shoulders photos.
- Your passport or certificate of identity.

- A chest X-ray.
Character
You may need to provide police certificates. Immigration New Zealand will tell you if these are required.
Fellowship Support
Provide evidence that:
- You are a current Edmund Hillary Fellowship member.
- The Fellowship supports your residence application.
Travel and Visa Conditions

If travelling:
- Your visa must be in a valid passport.
- If your passport expires, transfer your visa to a new passport before travelling.
To transfer a visa, you must:
- Send your old and new passports.
- Complete the Application for Transfer or Confirmation of a Visa.
