Purpose

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) International Skilled Worker: Saskatchewan Express Entry sub-category allows skilled workers in the federal Express Entry pool who meet Saskatchewan's criteria and wish to live and work in the province to receive a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residency.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, candidates must be accepted into the IRCC Express Entry pool, pay the $500 application fee, and satisfy all of the following requirements:

• Express Entry Profile: Hold a valid Express Entry Profile Number and Job Seeker Validation Code.
• Points Threshold: Score at least 60 points on the SINP point assessment grid.
• Language Proficiency: Meet federal Express Entry language requirements with test results (IELTS General, CELPIP, PTE Core, TEF, or TCF Canada) less than two years old. Bilingual applicants seeking extra points must score CLB 4 or higher in their second language.
• Education: Complete at least one post-secondary school or training program comparable to a minimum of one year of Canadian education, yielding a diploma, certificate, or degree related to the intended occupation.
  • Submit an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) from an approved IRCC organization for education outside Canada (not required if training was part of high school and licensure is sought).
• Work Experience: Have paid, full-time (minimum 30 hours per week) experience in a high-skilled occupation (TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3) that is not on the Excluded Occupation List:
  • Skilled professionals: At least one year of work experience in the past 10 years.
  • Skilled tradespeople: At least two years of work experience in a skilled trade in the past five years.
  • Canadian Experience Class: At least one year of Canadian work experience in the past three years.
  • Work experience must align with the completed post-secondary education/training.

Ineligibility

You cannot apply if you:

• Are a refugee claimant in Canada.
  • Exception: Individuals with a refused refugee claim may apply if the claim is fully resolved, they did not appeal (or the appeal was refused), they have departed Canada, and they provide an IMM 0056B Certificate of Departure or an Authorization to Return to Canada (ARC).
• Fail to provide required documentation at submission.
• Fail to prove an intent to live and work in Saskatchewan.
• Provide false information or misrepresent qualifications.

Settlement Funds and Settlement Plan

• Settlement Funds: Must meet IRCC minimum fund thresholds based on family size, maintained for at least three consecutive months prior to application and kept throughout the permanent residency process.

Application Steps

1. Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI): Create a profile in the SINP OASIS system.
2. Receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA): Candidates with top scores matching draw criteria receive an ITA.

Important Warnings
