Purpose

This visa is for people from Japan with a full-time offer to work as a qualified Japanese-English interpreter in New Zealand’s tourism industry.

The visa length depends on the job-offer length, up to 3 years.

Eligibility

You must:

• Be from Japan.
• Have a full-time interpreter job offer from a tourism-industry employer.
• Be qualified to interpret and translate Japanese and English.
• Be in good health and of good character.
• Genuinely intend to meet visa conditions.
• Provide your employer’s written guarantee for required costs.

Job Offer and Employer Guarantee

Required Evidence

Identity
