B-1 Temporary Business Visitor
Nonimmigrant visa for temporary travel to the United States for business (B-1), tourism (B-2), or both purposes (B-1/B-2).
CNMI-Only Transitional Worker (CW-1)
A nonimmigrant classification allowing employers in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) to employ workers otherwise ineligible under other nonimmigrant worker categories, as part of the transition to the U.S. immigration system.
E-1 Treaty Traders
A nonimmigrant classification for nationals of treaty countries engaging in substantial principal trade between the United States and their treaty country, including certain qualifying employees.
E-2 Treaty Investors
The E-2 nonimmigrant classification allows nationals of treaty countries to be admitted to the United States after investing, or actively investing, a substantial amount of capital in a bona fide U.S. enterprise. Certain qualifying employees may also be eligible.
E-2 Visa: CNMI-Only Investor
The CNMI-Only Investor (E-2) classification allows eligible foreign long-term investors to remain lawfully present in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands through December 31, 2029 while resolving their immigration status.
E-3 Specialty Occupation Workers from Australia
A nonimmigrant classification for Australian nationals coming to the United States solely to work in a specialty occupation requiring specialized knowledge and at least a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program
An immigrant investor program for investors who make the required investment in a U.S. commercial enterprise and plan to create or preserve 10 permanent full-time jobs for qualified U.S. workers. Eligible investors, spouses, and unmarried children under 21 may apply for lawful permanent residence.
Employment-Based Immigration: First Preference EB-1
Employment-based first-preference immigrant visa category for individuals with extraordinary ability, outstanding professors or researchers, and certain multinational executives or managers.
Employment-Based Immigration: Fourth Preference EB-4
An employment-based fourth preference immigrant visa category for special immigrants, including religious workers, special immigrant juveniles, certain broadcasters, certain international organization or NATO employees, and other specified groups.
Employment-Based Immigration: Second Preference EB-2
An employment-based immigrant visa category for advanced degree professionals or persons with exceptional ability in the sciences, arts, or business. Certain petitions may qualify for Schedule A designation or a national interest waiver.
Employment-Based Immigration: Third Preference EB-3
An immigrant visa preference category for skilled workers, professionals, and other workers with a permanent, full-time U.S. job offer and labor certification or, where applicable, a Schedule A designation.
H-1B Specialty Occupations
A nonimmigrant classification for people performing services in a specialty occupation, Department of Defense cooperative research and development project services, or services as a fashion model of distinguished merit or ability.
H-2A Temporary Agricultural Workers
The H-2A program allows eligible U.S. employers, U.S. agents, and qualifying agricultural producer associations to bring foreign nationals to the United States for temporary or seasonal agricultural jobs.
H-2B Temporary Non-Agricultural Workers
The H-2B program allows qualifying U.S. employers or U.S. agents to bring foreign nationals to the United States for temporary nonagricultural jobs. The petitioner must file Form I-129 on a prospective worker’s behalf.
H-3 Nonimmigrant Trainee or Special Education Exchange Visitor
Temporary U.S. classification for trainees receiving unavailable-in-home-country training or special education exchange visitors gaining practical training and experience in educating children with disabilities.
I Representatives of Foreign Media
Nonimmigrant visa for bona fide representatives of foreign information media coming to the United States solely to work in their profession for a foreign media organization.
L-1A Intracompany Transferee Executive or Manager
A nonimmigrant classification for U.S. employers to transfer executives or managers from affiliated foreign offices to U.S. offices, including to establish a new U.S. office.
L-1B Intracompany Transferee Specialized Knowledge
A nonimmigrant classification for a U.S. employer to transfer a professional employee with specialized knowledge from an affiliated foreign office to a U.S. office, including to help establish a new U.S. office.
O-1 Visa: Individuals with Extraordinary Ability or Achievement
A nonimmigrant visa for individuals with extraordinary ability in sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics, or extraordinary achievement in motion picture or television, who will temporarily continue work in their area of ability in the United States.
P-1A Athlete
Temporary U.S. classification for internationally recognized individual athletes or teams, professional athletes, certain amateur athletes or coaches, and professional or amateur athletes in theatrical ice skating productions or tours.
P-1B A Member of an Internationally Recognized Entertainment Group
Temporary U.S. classification for members of internationally recognized entertainment groups established for at least one year, coming to perform in the United States.
P-2 Individual Performer or Part of a Group Entering to Perform Under a Reciprocal Exchange Program
Temporary classification for artists and entertainers, individually or as part of a group, performing in the United States under a government-recognized reciprocal exchange program.
P-3 Artist or Entertainer Coming to Be Part of a Culturally Unique Program
A temporary P-3 classification for artists or entertainers coming individually or as part of a group to perform, teach, or coach in a culturally unique program.
Q Cultural Exchange (Q-1 nonimmigrant classification)
Q-1 nonimmigrant classification for participants in Department of Homeland Security-designated international cultural exchange programs involving practical training, employment, and sharing their home country's history, culture, and traditions in the United States.
